Romanian tennis player, Simona Halep, tops the WTA rankings for the 38th week, according to the latest release on Monday. Halep has 7,571 points, followed by Caroline Wozniacky – 6,740 points, Sloane Stephens – 5,463 points and Angelique Kerber – 5,305 points.
Mihaela Buzarnescu climbs on the 24th position, up from 25th, after playing the BRD Bucharest Open semi-finals. It is the best position of her career with 1,703 points.
Irina Begu has fallen 14 positions, down to 56th, with 995 points.
Sorina Cirstea ranks 54th with 1,035 points, up three positions against last week.
Two other tennis players are in Top 100 WTA, i.e. Monica Niculescu ranks 60th with 927 points and Ana Bogdan ranks 87th with 762 points, down 21 positions.
