Over 10,000 Romanians will spend their May 1 holiday abroad this year, 10 percent more than last year. Seaside resorts and city breaks are the most wanted destinations. Although most of the tourists choose Bulgaria or holidays below EUR 100, a new range of tourists have taken shape in the past years, meaning those who want to blend city breaks with the beach.

“This year we sold very good stays in Rome, Lisbon and Cyprus, on the last two destinations people can even sunbathe as the weather allows. For such a holiday the budget mounts to about EUR 500 per person,” Daniela Dumitrica, Marketing Manager Paralela 45 told a press release.

A five-day tour in Rome, plane transport, transfer and accommodation at four-star hotel with breakfast included, reaches to EUR 389, airport fees excluded. The price of the package is about 25 pc cheaper than in the full season.

The Lisbon circuit includes three night stays at four-star hotel with breakfast included, airplane transport and transfer, half-day city tour and local guide. The price is EUR 420 for person.

In Cyprus the offers start as of EUR 395 per person for a 7-day stay, half board and airplane transport and transfer, with airport fees excluded.

Other destinations 90 percent booked so far are Amsterdam, Helsinki and Saint Petersburg. Romanians can enjoy the Flower Parade in Amsterdam, the tulips fields and the contrasts’ city for EUR 395. The package includes four night stays, four-star hotel, breakfast, airplane transport, transfer and guide.

The packages for Helsinki and Saint Petersburg reach to EUR 740 and include six night stays, breakfast, four-star hotels, airplane, guide and entrances at various sights.

Paralela 45 is the most known tourism brand in Romania, marking 25 years of existence this year.
