Bruges Police, Belgium, suspect several Romanians that they have stolen a group of bronze statues near a fountain in the city’s central square. The statue group, weighing five tonnes, has been one of the symbols of the cities for years.

The gang of the metal thieves is reportedly responsible for a whole series of metal theft, says a Belgian newspaper.

The police officers suspect that statue group would have been stolen in June 2018 and that they would have melted the pieces by now.

Three of the 31 gang members were caught in the act and arrested in Antwerp and Brussels in April this year.
