President Klaus Iohannis approved the training of the Ukrainian military in Romania. It is about dozens of soldiers who will learn to use F-16 planes at the military base in Fetești. In addition, the head of state also gave the green light to some military transports destined for Ukraine.

The President informed the Parliament through a letter that he approved the transit of the equipment and material goods donated by Finland to Ukraine and the training of approximately 50 Ukrainian soldiers.

Authorities have not said when the training will begin, but Digi24’s sources say Ukrainian soldiers should arrive at the Fetești air base this summer. F-16 pilot training is expected to end at the end of the year.
