A man has been attacked by a bear in a forest in Neamt county two days ago, after he had gone after the bear to film it.

There have been a lot of incidents lately when tourists were trying to catch bears on cameras or feed them.

Amid growing population of bears in Romania, the attacks on humans have increased. The bears’ invasion is triggered by the latest deforestation in Romania and by the fact that, facing to a smaller habitat of their own, bears are more and more leaving the forests in search for food. Bears are mainly lured by the garbage chaotically thrown by people in the villages or in the mountain towns, and more seriously, it has been found out people themselves are feeding the bears.

Yet, bears are still wild animals, and cases of attacking and even killing humans are on the rise as well.
