Tens of thousands of people attended an ample march downtown Chișinău on Sunday, in order to celebrate 98 years since the union of Bessarabia with Romania, publika.md informs.

Over 50,000 people marched through the capital of the Republic of Moldova, including guests from Romania.

Demonstrators called fro the union with Romania.

The Council of the Country II was set up also on Sunday. It’s a platform representing all unionist organisations from R. Moldova, consisting of 101 members aiming at drafting reunion strategies between R. Moldova and Romania.

During the debates held at the “Nicolae Sulac” National Palace in Chișinău a bomb alert was reported, but it eventually proved to be a false alarm.
