Bad weather alert: Torrential rains, hail and storms in most parts of the country

On Tuesday, the National Meteorological Administration issued a code yellow warning targeting torrential rains, hail and storms in more than half of the country, including Bucharest. The weather alert goes into effect today at 12.00 and expires at 22.00. Falls will exceed 20-30 liters per sqm and in some cases, 40l/sqm.

Meteorologists issued on Tuesday a Yellow Code warning of showers and storms valid in 28 counties in the country.

According to ANM, the municipality of Bucharest and the counties of Suceava, Neamț, Harghita, Bacău, Vrancea, Galați, Covasna, Buzău, Brăila, Ialomița, Călărași, Brașov, Prahova, Ilfov, Giurgiu, Dâmbovița, Teleorman, Argeș, Vile are targeted. , Dolj, Mehedinți, Caraș-Severin, Gorj, Hunedoara, Alba and Cluj. In these areas there will be periods of accentuated atmospheric instability which will be manifested by frequent electrical discharges, torrential downpours, short-term wind intensifications, storms (speeds of 55-75 km / h) and hail.The weather forecast in Bucharest 

Meteorologists also issued a special forecast for Bucharest for the same period. Here, the weather will continue to warm slightly, but the degree of atmospheric instability will increase.

The sky will be variable, with temporarily accentuated clouds in the afternoon and evening, when there will be frequent electric discharges, short-term wind gusts, possible storms (speeds of 55 … 60 km / h) and showers (8 … 10 l / sqm, isolated over 15 l / sqm).

The maximum temperature will be 29 … 30 degrees.
