Brother of Bogdan Despescu, former chief of Romanian Police, committed suicide

The brother of Bogdan Despescu, former chief of the Romanian Police, was found hanged by his wife, in his house in Nehoiu, Buzau County (eastern Romania).

Florin Despescu, 47, committed suicide on the night of Saturday to Sunday, but the information was made public Monday evening, reports.

According to sources, the man suffered severe depression. In that evening, he reportedly had a discussion with his wife, then he went to bed. Shortly after that, his wife found him hanged.

The man left no note to explain his decision. The Police have opened a criminal file in this case.

Florin Despescu worked for several months with the Buzau local Police, then he resigned to take over an office closer to his home. Florin was one of the four brothers of Bogdan Despescu.
