Bucharest, among the cheapest taxi fares from airport to the city center in Europe
The online airports guide Airmundo.com has surveyed fares at the 50 busiest airports on the European continent, precisely how much a ride costs from the airport to the city center. Bucharest has also been included in the survey, boasting pretty low taxi fares.
The study shows that travelers in Europe who prefer to take a taxi to reach the city centre spend average of EUR 40 to get there and that the average length of the ride is 34 minutes.
If the fares from Malpensa and Bergamo airports in Milan, and Stansted, Luton, Gatwick in London, are the most expensive in Europe, with average rides costs ranging from EUR 93 to EUR 105, once moving to the Central Eastern Europe, the costs are cooling down.
In France, the taxi fare from Paris’s Roissy-Charles de Gaulle airport costs an average of EUR 55, while Orly comes in with cheaper fares, averaging EUR 35.
An average fare for Warsaw in Poland costs EUR 9 and one from Bucharest’s Otopeni Airport to downtown is EUR 10, says the online guide.
On the other hand, passengers arriving at Antalya in Turkey pay only EUR 8 on average for their ride.
