Parking downtown Bucharest will cost RON 10 per hour, according to the new tariffs approved on Thursday by the Bucharest City Hall General Council, up from RON 1.5 now.
The proposal, filed recently, was voted by 31 counsellors, only 2 votes against.
‘Zone 0’ will include four segments:
– underground parking Intercontinental, the streets N. Bălcescu – C.A. Rosetti – D. Gerota – J. L. Calderon – T. Arghezi – Carol I;
– underground parking University Square, the streets N. Bălcescu – I. Câmpineanu – Calea Victoriei – Splaiul Independenţei – I. C. Brătianu;
– underground parking Cocor, the streets I. C. Brătianu – Sf. Vineri – Calea Moşilor – H. Botev – C. Coposu;
– the Unirea overground parking lot, with the streets C. Coposu – M. Basarab – Mircea Vodă – Unirii – Brătianu.
The sole tariff will be RON 10 per hour, from Monday to Friday during 0.00h-24.00h, for maximum 2 hours, after exceeding the deadline the parking fee is doubled. The tariff of RON 10 x 24 hours x 30 days plus VAT will be paid by hotels, commercial complexes, auditoriums, sports bases, reserved parking lots on contract, the decision reads.
For the people living in these areas, the tariff will be of RON 120 per month, VAT included.
