Chinese student found dead after jumping off the train. He was in love with Eminescu’s poems
A Chinese student at the University in Bacau died on Saturday, and was found on near the railway in Roman. Yin Yuguo, 16, wanted to visit the Citadel of Neamt, but he took the wrong train and reached the locality of Pascani. He panicked and jumped off the train after the train left the station, stirileprotv.ro informs.
He hit his head on a milestone and died instantly. Following investigation, Police found only personal goods and money and he had not been the victim of any kind of violence, desteptarea.ro informs.
Neamt Police representatives say “the young man was in a preparatory class at a university in Bacau, he was a tourist and a lover of excursions. He allegedly left from Bacau to Roman and switched the train to Paşcani. (…) In Roman, he was found dead at about 200 meters from the CFR Roman train station, with a head injury.”
“I love Romanian culture and literature, and today I am here to celebrate with everyone, I wish Romania and Romanians a brilliant future,” Yin said on December 1, on the celebration of the Great Union centennial, according to Recorder.ro. Reportedly, he was in love with the poems of national poet Mihai Eminescu, reason for which he came to study in Romania.
