CNATDCU rejects Kovesi’s request to attend debates on her PhD thesis
The Chairman of the National Council for Attesting Titles, Diplomas and Certificates (CNATDCU) legal sciences committee, Mircea Bob, has stated for luju.ro: “No one can participate in this procedure! We are not in a court where witnesses or defendants can be heard.”
Bob confirms, however, that the National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA) chief prosecutor Laura Codruta Kovesi submitted a number of documents, accompanied by her opinion about the case, antena3.ro reports.
Mircea Bob says it’s likely for the three committee members not to meet at all during the procedure, which may be conducted from the distance
All documents can be accessed on a specially created platform. According to luju.ro the committee members have not yet begun to study the documents, although theoretically the CNADTCU verdict on Kovesi’s PhD thesis, accused of plagiarism, should released by December 15.
