Code Yellow alert for storms, rains and hail almost countrywide
Romanian weathermen have issued a new code yellow alert for bad weather for today. The weather forecast includes rainfalls, storms and hail and is valid as of today until Tuesday night in Bucharest and 33 other counties in Romania.
As of Monday, June 10, 10:00a.m. until Tuesday, June 11, 23:00hrs, there will be instability in the atmosphere in 33 counties in the southern, central and eastern country, including in the Capital.
Torrential rain will prevail, as well as thunderstorms, strong wind, tempest and hailstorm. Water falls will exceed 20…25 liters per square meters, and in some area even 40…40l/sqm, so the flood risk remains high.
Temperatures will climb up to 33C.
In Bucharest there will be rain showers, thunderstorms, increased winds and potential hail. Maximum temperatures will mount to 28C, while the atmospheric pressure will be slightly down.
The weather will be warm in the mountains these days. Torrential rain with thunderstorms and lightning, storms and hail will occur in most of the massifs on a daily basis. Water falls will locally exceed 35…50l/sqm, with the flood risk very high.
Thunderstorms and rains will be also present on the seaside, particularly in the afternoon and in the evening. Temperatures will range from 25C to 27C, while the sea water will have around 24C.
