The meteorologists have issued on Sunday two Code Yellow warnings for storms and rainfall to come into force in the coming period.
The first warning is to come into force on Sunday as of 18.00h and expires on Monday at 10.00h. It aims the regions of Banat, Oltenia, part of Crisana, south-eastern Transylvania and western Muntenia (south). The code warns about electric discharges, wind gusts turning into storms, rainfall and hail on isolated areas. The water quantities will reach 20-25 litres per square metre and on isolated areas 30-40 litres per square metre.
On the night of Sunday to Monday in the hilly and mountainous areas the atmospheric instability will increase, mainly in Maramures, Crisana and Transylvania, locally in Muntenia and Dobrogea.
The second warning (photo) comes into force Monday morning at 10.00h and will be valid until Tuesday at 23.00h. High atmospheric instability is expected in the southern, eastern and central regions, also in the hilly and mountainous regions.
Locally torrential rain is expected, electric discharges, wind gusts turning into storm and hail on isolated areas. Water quantities could reach 25-30 litres per square metre and 50-60 litres per square metre on isolated areas.
