The meteorologists have issued, on Monday, a Code Yellow warning for rainfall and storms for about one quarter of Romania.
The warning will be valid as of September 3, 15.00h until September 4, 23.00h.
During this interval the atmospheric instability will increase in Banat, Crisana, locally in Oltenia and western Transylvania. Rainfall could turn into torrential rain accompanied by electric discharges, storms and hail. Water quantities could exceed 20-25 litres per square metre and, on isolated areas, 40-50 litres per square metre.
The counties under the weather warning are Alba, Arad, Bihor, Cluj, Caras-Severin, Dolj, Gorj, Hunedoara, Mehedinti, Sibiu, Salaj, Timis and Valcea.
The rest of the country will also face similar phenomena, but they will take place on smaller areas and will last less.
