Meteorologists have issued on Monday a new Code Yellow for rainfall for the coming two days. The code will come into force on Monday, as of 21.00h and will last until Wednesday, 9.00h, the National Meteorology Administration (ANM) informs.
High atmospheric instability will be noticed in northern Moldavia, locally in Transylvania and Oltenia, in the Eastern and Southern Carpathians, as well in the Banat Mountains in western Romania.
The rain will become torrential, with frequent electric discharges, brief wind gusts that could turn into tempest, locally hail will fall.
Water quantities will exceed 20-25 litres per square metre and on isolated areas 50-60 litres per square metre.
