‘Colectiv’ fire case: 130 patients still hospitalized, 83 in critical and serious condition. Two Spaniards injured in the fire, discharged

Update: The condition of five injured persons admitted to Elias Hospital got worse on Thursday evening, so they underwent some urgent interventions, namely four tracheostomies and one tracheal intubation, so that they could be helped to breathe. 14 patients injured in the nightclub fire are admitted to Elias.

The latest information regarding the condition of the Colectiv fire’s victims points to a number of 130 patients still admitted in Bucharest hospitals, with 83 of them in critical and serious condition.

Other three patients admitted to the Central Military Hospital are ready for a skin transplant, two with skin grafting and one with artificial skin, as the military hospital’s general manager, colonel doctor Florentina Radu-Ioniță, informed.

She added that 12 patients are still admitted to this hospital, with two of them in critical condition.

“Unfortunately, the condition of one of the injured persons aggravated on Wednesday. It’s about a young woman, architect, who had pneumonia at the time of the fire. The lung disease can cause problems few days after the accident,” the general manager of the hospital also said.

Two Spanish citizens discharged, an Italian woman and the club’s bodyguard still in critical condition

Some good news are coming from “Dr. Agrippa Ionescu” Hospital belonging to the Romanian Intelligence Service, where two Spanish citizens injured in the fire were discharged on Thursday. Four victims opf the tragedy are still admitted to this hospital, with two of them being in critical condition: a 20-year-old Italian girl and the Colectiv club’s bodyguard, a 35-year-old man.

2 trucks with personal belongings collected from the club

Two trucks have been filled with personal belongings of those who were at the Colectiv Club on Friday night. There are over 70 sacks with clothes, purses, money, jewelry, phones, video and photo cameras and IDs. While searched on the tragedy’s scene is almost concluded, the investigation is just beginning. One of the latest information was that investigators established that the person sent at the concert to provide the fireworks show had no competence as pyrotechnician.
