Constitutional Court postpones verdict on Criminal Procedure Code to September 25

The Constitutional Court has decided on Wednesday to postpone the decision on the referals made by the High Court of Cassation and Justice (ICCJ – Supreme Court) and by PNL and USR on the Law amending the Criminal Procedure Code, approved by the majority made up by PSD-ALDE -UDMR, after it was drawn up by the Special Parliamentary Committee on the laws of justice.

The Constitutional Court will discuss on September 25 the objections formulated regarding the amendments to the Criminal Procedure Code.

On Wednesday, the CCR was to discuss the unconstitutionality of the bill on amending and completing the Law no. 135/2010 on the Criminal Procedure Code and amending and supplementing Law no. 304/2004 on judicial organization, formulated by the ICCJ.

Also on the agenda of the CCR sitting was the objection of unconstitutionality of the bill for amending and completing Law no. 135/2010 on the Criminal Procedure Code, as well as for amending and completing the Law no.304 / 2004 on judicial organization, objection made by 94 PNL and USR deputies, as well as by non-affiliated deputies.
