About 5,000 protesters have created the European Union’s flag out of blue and yellow papers lit with flashlights within a new rally in Victoriei Square, Bucharest, on Sunday night.

People gathered in front of the Government at nightfall and at 9 p.m. sharp they designed the EU’s flag out of colored papers and the mobile flashlights, exactly the way they did two weeks ago when they had made a huge Romanian tricolor out of red, yellow and blue papers lit with flashlights.

It was the 27th day since the outbreak of the anti-government, anti-graft protests in Romania.

Protesters kept on chanting: “Resignation”, “DNA should come and take you”, “We’ll be here day by day”, “Down with Tariceanu, Dragnea and Grindeanu”, “United we save the entire Romania”, “Romania, wake up”.

The manifesto slogan of the protests, “#REZIST” was projected on a building in Victoriei Square.

The traffic on the streets in Victoriei Square was closed down, except for the street in front of the Government building to the Aviatorilor Boulevard.
