The Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT) has informed on Friday that it has closed the criminal file on Prime Minister Viorica Dancila, reasoning that the offenses aimed by the criminal complaint filed by PNL Chairman, Ludovic Orban, do not exist.

“By the ordinance issued on September 27, 2018, the DIICOT prosecutors have decided to close the criminal file regarding the offenses of high treason (…) on disclosure of secrets jeopardizing the national security (…) on usurpation of office, (…) on disclosure of work secrets and non-public information (…) and on presentation in bad faith of inaccurate information to the Parliament or the Romanian President regarding the Government or ministries’ activities, in order to conceal deeds meant to affect the state’s interest,” DIICOT informs in a press release.

PNL Chairman, Ludovic Orban, filed a complaint on May 17 to the Prosecutor General’s Office, requesting the investigation of ‘some deeds committed by Viorica Dancila and by PSD Chairman, Liviu Dragnea.’
