During vote on censure motion – PSD’s Liviu Dragnea looks at photo with young woman aggressed by recently released convict

PSD chair Liviu Dragnea, Chamber of Deputies Speaker, was caught on camera during the debates on the censure motion on Thursday while peaking at a photo of a young woman aggressed by a recently released convict from prison, following the compensatory appeal supported by PSD-ALDE.

The photo was shared in Parliament by the Opposition MPs, Digi 24 TV private broadcaster informs. Dragnea is seen as having the photo in his right hand and looks at it from time to time.

A similar photo was received by Prime Minister Viorica Dancila and by Justice Minister Tudorel Toader.

A 20-year old woman was robbed and attacked in the staircase of an apartment block in Alba Iulia city in November, the attacker is a convict released from prison following the compensatory appeal promoted by Justice Minister Tudorel Toader.

About 9,000 convicts have been released before the term, during January-October 2018, based on a procedure supported by PSD-ALDE coalition.

The aggressor is 33 years old, is recidivist and was released on the basis of compensatory appeal. He has been remanded for 30 days. The man hit the young woman and she fainted, then he robbed her of everything she got. The aggression was caught on a surveillance camera.
