Interactive displays for kids, first adventure leads to Ancient Egypt

Are your kids already complaining of staying too much indoors? Are you afraid they will eventually surrender again to TV and gadgets? Now you have the chance to challenge them to go out and have thrilling adventures by travelling back in time and discovering history’s fascinating stories. A series of interactive displays are to run under the History Hackers educational platform starting this week, a platform meant to bring history into children’ s focus ‘in plain English’. Architecture, myths, habits and secrets, they are all unveiled in a friendly flavor designed to catch kids’ attention. The first such exhibition is kicking off at Grabroveni Inn in Bucharest on Thursday, October 23 and is dedicated to the Ancient Egypt. This is an important stage of the human history that no kid should miss. The little ones can take part in interactive jewelry, hieroglyphs and in mummification workshops and scenery displays. They can enter a pyramid and sit on the Pharoh’s throne, they will be allowed to open a sarcophagus and they will have the opportunity to create ancient-like amulets on their own. Supported by the Egypt Embassy to Bucharest, the display will have its varnishing day on October 23. It will actually open its gates the next day and can be visited until December 30.

History Hackers is an Emagic original concept, developed together with ArCub Bucharest Cultural Center and Bucharest City Hall.

Tickets are available on www.myticket.ro, in Diverta shops and at Gabroveni Inn (starting the first day of display). Adults will pay RON 35 for a ticket and children under 14 RON 20. Subscriptions for families and groups are also available.
