Six medals for Romanian astronomy Olympic team
The Romanian astronomy Olympic team scooped one gold, two silver and three bronze medals at the 19th edition of International Astronomy Olympiad closed on Tuesday. The gold went to a ninth grade student from Bucharest International Informatics High School, Tudor Cre?u. Andrei Radu, ninth grade, from Br?ila “Nicolae B?lcescu” National College and Andrei C?t?lina R?duc, tenth grade, from Bucharest International Informatics High School scooped the silver medals.
Ninth-grader M?lina Ro?ca from Alba Iulia “Horea Clo?ca si Cri?an” National College, tenth-grader Andra Gabriela Jitaru from Piatra Neam? “Petru Rare?” National College and ninth- grader Cosmin Andrei from Bucharest International Informatics High School got bronze medals. Andra Jitaru was also awarded the special prize for the best observational test. International Astronomy Olympiad took place in la Bishkek — Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyzstan and rejoined 80 contenders from 16 countries.
