A teenage girl from Vaslui managed to get the highest grade in the university entrance exam in Spain. Bianca Hanganu will study Psychology at the University of Valencia and wants to stay abroad.

Bianca studied in Calpe, Alicante province, where her parents settled almost 20 years ago. “I got the highest mark in the compulsory phase of the final exams for university entrance. I didn’t expect them to call me because there was another colleague with similar marks and it was a surprise that he called me to receive this award,” Bianca says.

Lilian Hanganu, Bianca’s father said the girl worked hard to manage this result. “She would set the clock at 7, I would ask his wife where she was going and she would say that she woke up to study and went to bed at 1.30 – 2.00.”

The best students in Calpe are awarded annually by the town hall and the Rotary Club.

The mayor of Calpe, Ana Sala: “It is a scholarship of 2000 euros that the Rotary Club offers to the best student. The town hall also awards the best graduates every year and each time there is a brilliant Romanian student.”
