Emergency landing of an Airbus A350-900 aircraft belonging to Vietnam Airlines – due to medical issues

An Airbus A350-900 aircraft, belonging to Vietnam Airlines, made an emergency landing Monday afternoon on Otopeni Airport in Bucharest, due to a medical emergency.

The flight was on Frankfurt-Hanoi route and landed on Otopeni International Airport at 18.25h on Monday. It was scheduled to reach Hanoi at 6.00h Tuesday morning, cotidianul.ro informs.

Valentin Iordache, spokesman for the National Airports Company Bucharest (CNAB) informed on a social network that it was the case of a 30-year old passenger, unconscious, on epilepsy crisis. He was assisted by the medical teams and “he is ok now”, Iordache wrote.

The spokesman added that Airbus A350-900 is a very large aircraft, the first one of its kind to land on the airport so far.
