Employees of a prestigious hospital in Romania stage spontaneous protest over increment cut

Over 100 employees of the Heart Institute in Cluj-Napoca have initiated a spontaneous protest and stopped working on Wednesday morning, discontent over the increment cuts.

Employees and nurses of the hospital asked the managers to provide an answer on the decreases, with the medical director saying that the Health Ministry is expected to provide solutions.

We cannot pay the increments the nurses deserve for there are not enough funds. We informed the Health Ministry in Bucharest about this situation (…),” Adrian Molnar said.

Similar protests have taken place lately in more hospitals across the country.
