Environment ministry gets EUR 15 M contracts financed through Norwegian grants


EUR 15 M financing contracts for 15 environment projects, granted by SEE 2009-2014 mechanism, having Norway as main contributor have been signed by the Environment Ministry on Tuesday.

The contracts have been signed by the Environment Minister Gratiela Gavrilescu and Norway’s ambassador to Romania, Tove Bruvik Westberg.

The Environment Ministry is undergoing three programs financed by SEE 2009-2014, the RO02 program on biodiversity and services of the ecosystems, RO04 program on the decrease of dangerous substances and RO07 program on adaptation to climate changes.

Eight financing contracts have been signed for RO02 program, mounting to around EUR 8m and seven contracts have totaling EUR 7m have been signed within RO04 program.
