Finland, still the happiest country in the world. Where does Romania rank?
For the sixth year in a row, Finland is the happiest country in the world, according to the World Happiness Report. And its northern neighbors – Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Iceland are in the top 10. Romania is on 24th place out of 137. Poland is on 39th place, Hungary on 51st and Bulgaria – on 77th. Afghanistan ranks on the last place.
Happiness and well-being have been measured by surveys of people’s satisfaction with their lives. The classification criteria were social support, income, health, freedom, generosity and level of corruption.
The results of the survey have been released, today, on the occasion of the International Day of Happiness, that was celebrated 10 years ago on 20 March 2013, to remind that the final purpose of the public policies should be the people’s well-being.
