Flooded houses, 18 cars destroyed in 21 localities
Several houses have been flooded and 18 cars have been destroyed following the rainfalls in the past 24 hours in 21 localities throughout the country. Most interventions were needed in Neamt County (north-eastern Romania) where dozens of people have been evacuated due to floods.
The Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU) informs that interventions were conducted in 21 localities in the counties of Arad, Argeş, Bacău, Bihor, Caraş-Severin, Constanţa, Gorj, Harghita, Iaşi, Mureş, Neamţ, Sălaj, Satu Mare, Tulcea and Vâlcea.
“The firefighters teams evacuated water from five houses, 37 cellars and 80 household annexes. Due to strong wind 4 rooftops were put down and 6 trees were put to the ground, damaging 18 cars. The most consequences were registered in Neamt, with the IGSU teams working during the night,” IGSU informs.
