Four events prompting traffic restrictions in Bucharest this weekend

Traffic on several avenues in Bucharest will be restricted this weekend due to more events such as “Memories from Childhood” Festival”, “Street Delivery” festival, Race for the cure” cross and “I am not invisible” event.

“Memories from Childhood” festival for children will stage a character parade on Sunday, June 11, from 11:00 to 12:00, with traffic being restricted from 10:00 to 14:30 on Kiseleff Boulevard, between Arch of Triumph and Victoriei Square, on Architect Ion Mincu street, between Aviatorilor Boulevard and Ion Mihalache Blvd and on Monetariei street, starting from the crossroads with Ion Mihalache Blvd.

“Street Delivery” cultural event running June 9-11 on painter Arthur Verona street will restrict traffic in the neighbourhood between J.L. Calderon st to Gheorghe Magheru Blvd., as of June 9 at midnight until June 11 at midnight.

The “Race for the Cure” cross race takes place on Saturday, June 10, from 10:00 to 11:30, on the route: Herastrau parking, Charles de Gaulle entrance- Constantin Prezan Blvd (total restriction)- Kiseleff St. (it will be fully closed between the Arch of Triumph Square and Victoriei Square)- Aviatorilor Blvd.-Charles de Gaulle Square-Aviatorilor Blvd. (adjacent sidewalk of the Herastrau Park)- Arch of Triumph Alley, entrance from Aviatorilor Blvd.-ExpoFlora area-Charles de Gaulle.

Cars will not be allowed between Beijing st. (Pescarusi entrance) and Charles de Gaulle Square. Policemen recommend alternative routes Arch of Triumph Square- Marshal Alexandru Averescu Blvd.-Ion Mihalache Blvd.-Buzesti street and Ion Mihalache Blvd. – Banul Manta Blvd.– Nicolae Titulescu Avenue –Victoriei Square –Iancu de Hunedoara Blvd. –Ştefan cel Mare Avenue.

“I am not invisible” is another cultural educational event due on June 10. Participants will meet in Romana Square from 10:00 to 11:00, in the area of D.I. Mendeleev St. and Gheorghe Magheru Blvd. The march is scheduled from 11:00 to 12:00 on the following route: Romana Square –Gheorghe Magheru Blvd. –Dem. I. Dobrescu St.– Revoluţiei Square – sidewalk in front of the National Library – George Enescu Square.
