Four Romanians die in road accident in Italy


Four Romanians have died on Thursday and another one is in serious condition following the collision between their car, trying to evade a police car, and a truck, in southern Italy, on national road Telesina 372, near Alvignano, north of Napoli.

The driver of a Skoda car refused to stop to the police demand, reports.

The policemen started chasing the vehicle and, after about 20 km, the Skoda driver tried to overtake a truck, but as another car was coming from the opposite way, the chased car hit the truck. Four of the persons aboard the Skoda car died and one is in serious condition. All of them are Romanians, sources have told the Italian paper. Other sources claimed the victims are Serbs. The Italian authorities have not announced yet their nationality.
