On the night of Wednesday to Thursday the temperatures will drop to minus 23 degrees Celsius in eastern Transylvania. In Bucharest temperatures of minus 10C are expected, according to meteorologists.
Last night the lowest temperatures were in Radauti (northern Romania) of minus 21.3C.
“In Moldavia, such low temperatures are not very often, so the temperatures will not be as low as last night. On the other hand, in eastern Transylvania the temperatures will drop further in the areas of Miercurea Ciuc, Joseni and Targu Secuiesc down to minus 23C,” meteorologist Robert Manta said on Wednesday.
In western Transylvania the temperatures will be higher, with lows of minus 5C.
