41 new Covid-19 infections have been reported in Romania in the past 24 hours, out of 17,599 conducted tests. Other 74 deaths have been reported by the authorities, with 70 being from the previous months. 151 patients infected with SARS-CoV-2 are in intensive care.
Overall, there have been 1,080,323 Romanians infected with the novel coronavirus since the beginning of the pandemic till today, June 22, with 1,045,303 being declared cured.
The death toll mounts to 32,465, with 74 new deaths reported in the past day: 43 men and 31 women from Argeș, Călărași, Dolj, Harghita, Ilfov, Olt, Prahova, Satu Mare, Sălaj and Bucharest.
70 of these recently reported deaths occurred in the previous months: one in July 2020, one in October, 2020, 10 in October 2020, 31 in December last year, 11 in January 2021, nine in February 2021, six in March 2021 and one in April 2021 in the counties of Argeș, Călărași, Dolj, Harghita, Ilfov, Olt, Satu Mare and Bucharest.
One death was reported in the 40-49 age group, five deaths in the 50-59 age group, 22 deaths in the 60-69 age category, 26 deaths in the 70-79 age group, and 20 among people over 80.
69 of the recently reported victims had underlying conditions, one dead patient presented no comorbidity and no other diseases have been reported so far in the case of four other patients.
731 Romanians infected with the new coronavirus are currently hospitalized, with 151 in intensive care.
