3,660 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Romania in the past 24 hours, out of 8,791 tests. 127 Romanians infected with the novel coronavirus have died, while 1,280 are in intensive care.
There have been 517,236 cases of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 in Romania since the beginning of the pandemic, with 409,121 being declared cured.
Apart from the daily 3.660 confirmed cases, other 746 already infected patients have tested positive for the virus again.
The death toll climbed to 12,447, with 127 new more deaths reported in the past 24 hours: 79 men and 48 women from Arad, Argeș, Bacău, Bihor, Bistrița-Năsăud, Botoșani, Brăila, Brașov, Buzău, Caraș-Severin, Cluj, Constanța, Dâmbovița, Galați, Ialomița, Iași, Maramureș, Mehedinți, Neamț, Olt, Prahova, Sălaj, Sibiu, Timiș, Tulcea, Vaslui, Ilfov and Bucharest.
One death was reported in the 20-29 age group, one death in the 30-39 age group, five deaths in the 40-49 age group, 14 deaths in the 50-59 age group, 31 deaths in the 60-69 age group, 42 deaths in the 70-79 age group and 33 deaths in people over 80.
118 of the recent victims had pre-existing conditions, no comorbidity was reported for six victims and no other diseases have been confirmed so far in the case of other dead patients.
