11 deaths due to the SARS-CoV-2 virus have been reported in the past day, and 150 deaths in the past year.
Overall, there have been 1,080,389 COVID-19 cases reported in Romania since the debut of the pandemic till today, June 23, 2021, with 1,045,303 being declared cured.
The death toll mounts to 32,626, with 161 deaths reported since yesterday till today: 85 men and 76 women from Alba, Argeș, Bacău, Bihor, Brăila, Brașov, Cluj, Covasna, Galați, Harghita, Hunedoara, Ilfov, Maramureș, Mureș, Neamț, Olt, Prahova, Sălaj, Timiș, Vaslui, Vâlcea and Bucharest.
11 deaths occurred in the past 24 hours, while 150 in the previous months: two in July 2020, two in September 2020, 42 in November 2020, 42 in December 2020, six in January 2021, six in February, 23 in March, nine in April and four in May this year in Argeș, Bacău, Brăila, Brașov, Cluj, Covasna, Galați, Harghita, Hunedoara, Ilfov, Maramureș, Mureș, Neamț, Olt, Sălaj, Timiș, Vaslui, Vâlcea counties and Bucharest.
Among the recently reported 161 victims, three were in the 30-39 age group, 11 in the 50-59 age group, 26 in the 60-69 age group, 64 in the 70-79 age group, and 57 among people over 80.
150 of these victims had underlying medical conditions, eight presented no comorbidity, while no disease have been reported so far in the case of three other victims.
685 Romanians infected with SARS-CoV-2 are currently hospitalized, with 141 in intensive care.
