84 new Covid-19 infections, two deaths in the past 24hrs

84 new Covid-19 infections have been reported in Romania in the past 24 hours, out of 11,376 conducted tests, which means the infection positive trend stands at 0.73%, almost double compared to the previous days. Two people infected with the novel coronavirus have died in the past day, while 38 patients are in intensive care.

There have been 1,082,376 cases of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 in Romania since the beginning of the pandemic till today, July 26, with 1,047,291 patients declared cured.

The death toll climbed to 34,270, with two deaths reported in the past 24 hours: one man and one woman from Constanta and Bucharest.

One death was reported in the 60-69 age group and one in the 70-79 age group. Both recent victims had pre-existing conditions.

316 Romanians infected with coronavirus are currently admitted in the hospital, with 38 in intensive care.

13 patients infected with Delta variant in Iasi, four in ICU

13 people infected with the Delta variant of the coronavirus are currently hospitalized in Iasi, with four of them developing severe forms and being admitted in the intensive care unit.
