3,382 new Covid infections have been reported in Romania in the past 24 hours, out of 32,980 tests. The daily deaths are also on the rise, with 119 Romanians infected with SARS-Cov-2 dying in the past day. The number of Covid patients in intensive care units is also on the rise, 978.
Overall, 784,711 Romanians have got the novel coronavirus since the beginning of the pandemic, with 728,252 being declared cured.
The death toll went beyond 20,000 (20,013 more precisely), with 119 new more deaths reported in the past 24 hours: 68 men and 51 women from Alba, Arad, Argeș, Bacău, Bihor, Bistrița-Năsăud, Botoșani, Brașov, Brăila, Buzău, Caraș-Severin, Cluj, Constanța, Dâmbovița, Dolj, Galați, Giurgiu, Gorj, Harghita, Iași, Maramureș, Mehedinți, Neamț, Olt, Prahova, Sălaj, Satu Mare, Sibiu, Suceava, Teleorman, Timiș, Tulcea, Vaslui, Vrancea, Ilfov and Bucharest.
One death was reported in the 30-39yo age group, four deaths in the 40-49 age group, six deaths among patients aged from 50 to 59, 38 deaths in the 60-69yo category, 41 deaths among patients aged from 70 to 79 and 29 deaths in people over 80.
118 of the recent victims had underlying conditions, with one victim presenting no comorbidity.
7,463 Romanians infected with the novel coronavirus are currently hospitalized, with 978 being in intensive care.
