The first drive-thru vaccination centers will be operational till the end of this month, announced the coordinator of the national vaccination campaign, Valeriu Gheorghiță.

He told Digi FM on Monday that these drive-thru centers will use Pfizer vaccines and the people who will get the jab there won’t need previous appointment.

“By the end of April we’ll have the first thrive-thru vaccination centers in the country, they will receive vaccines produced by Pfizer. I can tell you that Bucharest, Deva in Hunedoara county and other counties plan to set up this type of centers. No appointment needed. We estimated around 400 people to be vaccinated per day,” Gheorghita said.

He further explained that people can come to these vaccination centres by personal vehicles, taxi, Uber or other public transportation means with a capacity of maximum 4+1 people. They will have to show their ID cards in the triage areas, preferably to present the triage form previously filled in (it can be downloaded from the application).

If they don’t come with the form already downloaded, it will be filled in under the doctor’s supervision, medical grounds are assessed and the person will be registered in the national electronica vaccination register.
