103 new Covid-19 infections have been reported in Romania in the past 24 hours. 150 deaths have been reported, but 130 are from the previous months. The number of patients in intensive care has consistently dropped as well – 255.
Overall, there have been 1,079,530 Covid infections reported in Romania since the debut of the pandemic, with 1,043,803 being declared cured.
The death toll climbed to 31,681, with 150 new more deaths reported today: 86 men and 64 women from Arad, Argeș, Bihor, Botoșani, Brașov, Buzău, Caraș-Severin, Cluj, Covasna, Dolj, Galați, Gorj, Iași, Maramureș, Mehedinți, Olt, Prahova, Satu Mare, Sălaj, Sibiu, Suceava, Tmiș, Vâlcea and Bucharest.
130 of the recently reported deaths have occurred in the previous months: 37 deaths in November 2020, 30 in December 2020, 5 in January 2021, 11 in February 2021, 32 in March 2021 and 15 in April 2021, in Argeș, Arad, Bihor, Buzău, Cluj, Gorj, Iași, Sibiu, Timiș and Vâlcea counties.
Among those 150 deaths, two were reported in the 30-39 age group, two in the 40-49 age group, 11 in the 50-59 age category, 35 deaths among people aged 60 to 69, 51 deaths in the 70-79 age group and 49 among people over 80.
143 of the recently reported victims had underlying condition, while seven presented no comorbidity.
1,271 people infected with SARS-CoV-2 are currently hospitalized in Romania, with 255 in intensive care.
