MAAM, the Romanian market leader in the field of compressive medical equipment, has launched the “COMMMUNITY HEALS” program today, a new initiative dedicated to women diagnosed with breast cancer. The program will provide emotional support and psychoeducation through a series of weekly online group sessions. These sessions will be facilitated by Ramona Gherasim – Psychology graduate, systemic facilitator, and coach, along with Mihaela Mîndreci – mindfulness teacher and emotional recovery therapist, and will be accessible by signing up at vindeca@bustieremedicale.ro starting from May 15, 2024.
The COMMUNITY HEALS program serves as a crucial support platform for women battling breast cancer, offering access to weekly group sessions. These meetings are designed to foster understanding and management of emotions, enhance quality of life, and encourage a positive attitude in the healing process.
“After providing pragmatic support in the post-operative stage for 17 years, we believe it is time for the next step. COMMUNITY HEALS proposes a holistic approach to healing, emphasizing the importance of emotional support and psycho-social education for women facing the challenges posed by breast cancer. This program offers weekly group sessions where participants share experiences, discover effective coping strategies, and identify ways to alleviate the emotional and psychological difficulties encountered during treatment and recovery. A key element of this program is the integration of systemic constellations methods, which address healing from the perspective of the entire system,” stated Daniela Vișinescu, founder of MAAM.
Ramona Gherasim brings plenty of experience in personal and organizational development to this program, having an impressive career in systemic change facilitation and coaching. Her diverse and profound expertise is grounded on extensive studies in psychology, NLP, art therapy, and more, with over 10,000 hours of facilitation and over 1,000 clients counseled.
“I was in my early twenties when I discovered that ‘to heal’ and ‘whole’ share the same root, a revelation that has guided my work ever since: we are healthy when we feel whole – body, mind, soul, and spirit. Systemic constellations remind us that belonging to a whole and personal integrity are essential for healing. I am proud to be part of COMMUNITY HEALS, a crucial project dedicated to supporting women diagnosed with breast cancer. My contribution to this effort resonates with my mission to share the power of healing and to remind each woman that, at her core, she is whole and, at the same time, part of a larger whole,” said Ramona Gherasim, systemic facilitator in the program.
Mihaela Mîndreci combines her professional experience as an emotional recovery therapist and mindfulness teacher with her personal experience as a breast cancer survivor. Her story of struggle and victory over this diagnose offers a unique perspective and a source of inspiration for participants.
“I am an emotional recovery therapist and mindfulness teacher, but first and foremost, I am a woman, wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. Last year, at 50, I was diagnosed with breast cancer, and although my journey has not ended, I already feel victorious. I have used this period to learn from my own experience, applying all known therapeutic tools to navigate daily through this challenge. I am thrilled to join the MAAM program, offering support to women facing the same battle. Being both a patient and a therapist has provided me with a unique perspective, and now, all that I have learned and what has worked for me becomes a means to empower, inspire, and provide tools to those who need to face emotional challenges and fears related to diagnosis. Together, we are building a bridge over fear, towards victory and healing,” stated Mihaela Mîndreci, emotional recovery therapist in COMMUNITY HEALS.
COMMUNITY HEALS marks a significant step in MAAM’s mission to provide support and valuable resources for women diagnosed with breast cancer. Together, through the strength of the community and the expertise of our specialists, MAAM aims to offer essential support on the journey towards healing and recovery.
