79 new more daily Covid-19 infections have been reported in Romania today, with three people infected with the novel coronavirus dying in the past 24 hours. Six deaths have also been reported from the previous months.
Overall, there have been 1,081,405 cases of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 in Romania since the beginning of the pandemic till today, July 14, with 1,046,537 patients declared cured.
The death toll mounts to 34,242, with nine deaths being reported in the past 24 hours: 4 men and 5 women from Argeș, Ilfov, Iași and Bucharest.
Six of the recently reported deaths occurred in the previous months: one in August 2020, two in November, one in December last year, one in March and one in April this year, all in Arges county.
Among the recently reported deaths, one was in the 50-59 age group, two among patients aged 60 to 69, four among those aged 70 to 79 and two deaths in patients over 80.
All recent victims had underlying medical conditions.
292 Romanians infected with SARS-CoV-2 are currently hospitalized across the country, with 51 in a more serious condition, in intensive care.
