Romania buys protective equipment against Ebola worth RON 6 M
The General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations intends to buy equipment for protection against Ebola worth nearly RON 6 million, according to Mediafax quoting an announcement posted on e-licitatie.ro.
The equipment consists of 3,000 pieces of “Personal equipment of average protection for staff” and 100 capsules of “Private sets of high protection”.
Purchases will be made through open auction, the selection criterion being the lowest price.
Officials from the Ministry of Internal Affairs told Mediafax that the purchase of equipment takes place following a decision of the Ebola National Committee, established last year in October after the epidemic outbreak in West Africa.
