The first Online Nutrition and Psychology Clinic for Bariatric Patients opens in Romania

The Doctor Dejeu Team, a clinic specialized in bariatric medical services, announces the launch of the first online clinic dedicated to nutrition and psychology for bariatric patients, as well as for those struggling with obesity and aiming to return to a normal weight. Support from specialists in bariatric surgery, nutrition and psychology is, starting March 1st, 2024, available to all individuals who have sought obesity treatment in Romania or abroad. Consultations will take place exclusively online, by appointment. Until now, these services were offered only to patients who underwent surgery or had a gastric balloon placed by the Doctor Dejeu Team.

According to data provided by the World Health Organization in 2022, 58% of adults in Romania are overweight or obese. The Doctor Dejeu team estimates that over 10,000 patients annually seek treatment for obesity, whether surgical or non-surgical, such as the gastric balloon. These individuals seek support to maintain long-term results and guidance by nutritionists experienced in this pathology and psychologists specialized in behavioral therapy related to eating and weight is essential.
