Heart surgeon from Targu Mures, handcuffed on the street after quarrel with traffic policeman
A cardiologist of the Emergency Clinic Hospital in Targu Mures has been handcuffed on the street after he had pushed a police officer.
The incident involving heart surgeon Benedek Imre occurred on Wednesday. The doctor is investigated for abuse after he would have pushed a traffic policeman who had stopped his car in traffic and found out his car insurance had expired.
Judicial sources told local media that Benedek Imre was former head of the Cardiology section of the Targu Mures County Hospital.
“He injured a police officer. He would have pushed and bullied him. The doctor was handcuffed and immobilized on the street,” the sources said.
According to Digi24, this is not the first irregularity committed by the doctor. He had another quarrel with the policemen also in November 2008.
