Meteorologists have issued a heat wave warning countrywide, with temperatures expected to reach 34-37 degrees Celsius on Monday and Tuesday. Thermal discomfort will be high and the temperature-humidity index (THI) will reach and exceed the critical threshold of 80 units.
On Monday the weather will be hot in most of the country, hot on local areas in the afternoon in Moldavia, in Crisana plains, Banat, Oltenia and Muntenia, in south-western and central Transylvania and in Dobrogea, with maximum temperatures between 34 and 37 degrees C, meteorologists say, quoted by ziare.com.
On Tuesday, the heat wave will be constant with thermal discomfort in most of the country, with the THI exceeding 80 units and highs of 35-37 degrees C.
As of Tuesday afternoon, atmospheric instability will increase, starting with the northern regions and on Wednesday and Thursday in the rest of the regions, with cooling weather.
