High school students passionate about Computer Science invited to Youni CS Hackathon on August 15th

On August 15th, 2023, the first edition of the Youni Hackathon for high school students passionate about computer science will take place. The main goal of the Youni Hackathon is to provide a platform where young programmers and technology enthusiasts between the ages of 15 and 18 can showcase their skills. Over the course of 24 hours, participants will have the opportunity to develop their teamwork abilities and experience collaboration within a project.

The CS Youni Hackathon is organized by students from the Youni4Youth organization and aims to create an environment where young people can discover their full potential. The event aims to attract 20-25 participants and encourage idea generation, experimentation, and skill development.

The winning team will receive prize money of 1000 euros plus a programming course for all team members.

During the event, participants will be mentored and will receive feedback from the Youni team and also from experts like Andrei Văduva, CTO and Cristina Florescu, HR Manager at Green Horse Game.  partner of the event and a Romanian game creator, whose majority capital was acquired in 2021 by Miniclip. The company Green Horse Games, the most successful mobile gaming company started in Romania, joins the Youni event as a partner, offering participants access to valuable tips and guidance in mobile gaming.

During the CS Youni Hackathon, participants will be divided into teams of 2-4 people and will work together on projects. Each team will receive 10 challenges that they will need to solve together, in order of difficulty, within a certain time frame. Each team will have 24h to imagine the solutions and present them to the jury. The event promises to be a memorable experience for all those involved, and the winning team will receive a programming course as a prize.
