How optimistic are Romanians this year in terms of their jobs and country’s economy this year?
According to a survey conducted by SmartDreamers online recruitment agency early this year, 29% of the respondents said they “were quite optimistic” about their job this year, 25.7% said they are less optimistic and 24.6% optimistic. 9.97% declared they were not optimistic at all, while 10.63% were very optimistic.
Romanians are also confident on the salary rise this year. 45.93% of the respondents said they would see a pay rise in 2017.
Yet, 45.54% said they are not going to afford a more expensive vacation than last year. 27.17% said they would afford that.
Employees questioned on the country’s economic perspectives are pessimist about Romania’s economic situation being improved this year. Only 17.79% said economy will be better this year, while 46.64% think Romania’s economy will not improve and 41.51% don’t know.
Over half of the Romanians (51.05%) currently employed and aged 26-35 don’t intend to leave their city of residence or the country to seek jobs abroad. 30.31% consider relocating to another city to find a better job.
The survey was conducted during January 25-February 25.
