240 Romanians who are in the Gaza Strip are asking to be helped to leave the Palestinian enclave. With the announcement of the opening of the border with Egypt, most of them have already headed to the Rafah crossing. The Romanian Foreign Ministry says it is in constant contact with them.

According to Digi24, the number of Romanians who want to be helped out of Gaza has increased from 200 to 240 at the moment. According to information, 90% of them have moved to the border with Egypt, at the Rafah crossing, and are waiting to cross into Egypt. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs keeps in touch with them on a common WhatsApp group.

Moreover, the Romanian Government has buses on the territory of Egypt, after the Rafah crossing point, and they are waiting for the 240 Romanians, to transport them to the airport and then fly to Romania.
