The High Court of Cassation and Justice (ICCJ – Supreme Court) has announced on Thursday it has notified the Constitutional Court (CCR) regarding the amendments brought to Law 525/2004 on preventing and combating terrorism.

According to the release, the ICCJ judges have set up united sections to notify the CCR about the constitutionality checks on Law 535/2004 before promulgation.

The ICCJ judges say the notification points to article 1, position 1, position 26, position 28, position 31 and position 43 of the law. By their unclear and inaccurate character, as well as due to the uncertainties they create in terms of trial competence in the first court, they violate the standards regarding concision, accuracy and predictability for the Constitutional Court, being in opposition with article 1, paragraph 5 of the Constitution, ICCJ says.
