Update: Interior minister’s husband dies. What has the autopsy revealed?
Corneliu Daniel Dan, the husband of Interior Minister, Carmen Dan, has passed away on Tuesday, representatives of the Interior Ministry announced, while asking the mass media to maintain discretion on the case.
Corneliu Dan has worked for OMV Petrom Teleorman until May 31, last year, with his annual salary mounting to RON 60,000 (about EUR 12, 870), according to his wife’s latest wealth statement.
On Wednesday, the Teleorman Police specified that the autopsy of Minister Dan’s husband reveals he has died due to heart failure and acute heart attack. Corneliu Dan, aged 57, was found in his apartment in Videle by a member of his family.
Sources told media that Corneliu Dan would have been found dead by his father.
Policemen say the man did not have any signs of violence and the death occurred 24 hours before he had been found, meaning on July 2.
